Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice for carry-on luggage I bought this bag because I travel in planes a lot and needed a bag that I could use to easily carry my luggage inside the terminal to and from the plane. This bag has been fantastic. It can easily fit everything I need and still have some space left. The pockets (both inside and outside) are really big and useful and can 'expand' to carry lot of stuff such as toiletries, snacks, passports and cables. Only precaution you should be using with this bag is that like any soft bag, if you overfill it, it can expand an inch at least in every direction and may not fit maximum dimensions set by your airline. Other than that this bag is really comfortable and looks nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great backpack for older kids/teens Have 3 of these backpacks now for all of my kids. They are a great size for them to carry. They are also cabin sized. We have used them for 2 weeks in Europe and 2 weeks travelling around USA. Still enough room for all their clothes, books and room left for purchasing mementos along our travels. I particularly like that the zippers for the bag do up under shoulder straps so that when we are in busy areas nobody can access the bag. It also has a hidden zipped pocket on the side and separate area for toiletries for quick access. A great little packpack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best bag I have I'm so pleased I bought this bag. The main zip closes up so the opening is against your back, very secure. The zips are lockable. When open the whole main compartment is easily accessible. The fact that it converts from a backpack to a cargo bag to a shoulder bag quickly and easily is brilliant. I'm off to Thailand for a month and was going to take my 60L backpack but now I'm contemplating just taking this as carry on since its pretty much within size limits. My only regret is that I didn't purchase a red one before they sold out, but gray will have to do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb Companion This bag is a makeshift revolution!!!! Truly, one of my best buys for the year, It adjusts to a back pack, a carry bag or a strapped sports bag. It also looks the part , feels the part and on top of that it's pure quality. I have had this bag for nearly 2 months now, and it's versatility meets my outing needs to a tee. I bike off road through the forest (14km's) where I chain my bike and hop on a train into town, cruise around, shop, go to the beach and then vice versa my trip back. I use all 3 carry types over my day and its just so simple to chop and change between carry modes. Its versatility is remarkable. I'm off on a 2 week wonder around the UK and I'm convinced this is all the luggage I will need (Pretty light traveler) . Well done Kathmandu.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great size I’ve had this bag for about a year now and the size is great, you can pack quite a lot in here. My friend used it for a month of travelling and was able to fit all she needed. The zip being at the back is good for security. There are a couple of things that I think need improvement, first of all it does need a waist strap, being 40L it can get quite heavy and it needs to be more secure on your body. Second, where the straps sit on your shoulders they dig in a bit and can cut off your circulation a bit if the bag is heavy. Aside from those I think it’s a great bag and has had a lot of use. It’s also great for carry on when flying.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great for carry on! "backpacked" throughout Europe with this bag in December-January and it is almost perfect! it had the perfect amount of space and the two external pockets are very useful. It fits a lot into it. the only con is that it is pretty uncomfortable with 10kg on your shoulders, the padding could have been better. mind you it didn't really start hurting until a few hours after wearing it. the greatest thing is I never had to check it in, it is perfect fit and size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy access I use this bag everytime we travel! For a weekend trip, travelling overseas! Perfect size for on board, and so easy to access everything. Fits easily under the seat in front of you. Opens up lying flat! No digging to the bottom of a backpack blind! Perfect for carrying enough clothing for a couple of if you were unfortunate enough to lose your bags in would have plenty! Very easy to carry whichever way you choose. Very comfortable on your back! I love everything about this bag! Not one fault!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for domestic and overseas travel The shuttle is my 'go to' bag for domestic travel - I load it up and off I go with no need to take check in luggage. The top 'flap' is also perfectly sized for my Kathmandu toiletries bag - coincidence? Probably not - good thinking Kathmandu! But where this piece of gear really comes into it's own is for overseas travel. It's survived two hectic and adventurous overseas trips now and it's brilliance is in it's adaptability. The shuttle is my cabin luggage and has enough room for all the stuff you need (pillow, head phones, spare toiletries, book, iPad) plus an extra set of clothes and bathers - in case your checked in luggage gets lost (which mine did). There's only a couple of compartments, but that's all you need to stay organised. And when you're off the plane, throw it on your back as you wheel your checked in luggage through customs. Once you're settled into your new digs, use this as your daypack - it's big enough to throw in your snorkelling gear, towel, spare clothes and anything else you'll need. It's also robust enough to handle being thrown about long tail boats and surviving mountain biking adventures. I highly recommend this bag - I've had it for around two years now and is my travel and adventure best friend (and shows no signs of wear or tear yet!)
