Love the light colour, but I'm wondering how it will wash? Will make-up wash off from around the neckline easily and will general dirty marks lift in the wash? Can you spot clean and use normal wash powder?
Asked by: Anonymous
We recommend spot cleaning this with a damp cloth
Use a specialised wash like Grangers Performance Wash or a non enzyme detergent.
Set the washing machine to 30 degrees Celsius, and select your standard washing program.
If you've noticed your jacket isn't as waterproof as it used to be, you’ll need to restore the water-repellent treatment before your jacket dries to restore the durable water-repellency (DWR)
Depending on the advice on your care label, your garment can either air dry or tumble dry. Follow the instructions for the best results.
Things to avoid:
Fabric softener. To minimise damage, stick to a specialised detergent for the best results.
The dry cleaner. The solvents they use in the dry cleaning process can damage your jacket.

How long is the flinders jacket size 10? Is it much longer than the women's goretex?
Asked by: Anonymous
The Flinders jacket measures 73cm from the centre back seam to the hem of the jacket for the size 10. For the Bealey Gore-Tex women's jacket in the size 10 this measurement is 71.5cm. So the Flinders is slightly longer.

Can I please have the approximate dimensions of the jacket when it is packed up? (I'm looking at the size 12 if that is needed)
Asked by: Hailey
For a size 10 (on model) the approximate dimensions of the jacket packed away are 28cm x 15cm (length x width). For a size 12 this will be between 0.3-0.5cm larger.

Does the Flinders Rain Jacket require regular chemical treatment to maintain waterproofing?
I have a Gortex jacket and hate that I have to regularly treat it, as it absorbs rain into the fabric.
Asked by: Nicola B
This jacket will require periodical re-application of the DWR treatment to ensure the jacket doesn't absorb water like you have described. The amount you will have to do this depends on how much usage the jacket gets.

Asked by: CentralAuHiker
This jacket does not have pit zips - our Aysen Gore-Tex jacket does.

WaterproofI bought this a week ago and it’s been really good for walks in the rain and it’s easy to roll up to put in my back pack. It’s not to hot and the zips feel strong and sturdy. Love it.

I really like these jackets.I bought one of these for myself six months ago and then bought one for each of my kids recently. They do really well on day walks, are lighs and comfortable to wear but dont feel to fragile or easily damaged. I have had longer fainwear in the past but find the jacket does a great job for my current needs. Good for walking the dog in drizzle too!

Great jacketBought this jacket, as I needed a lightweight & packable jacket for my first ultramarathon. I have been training in it in the ‘winterless North’ for the last month, & its been fantastic. Very waterproof & easy to walk in. Very pleased with it.
