Rated 4 out of 5 by StevenRH from Overall I am happy with pants but a couple of niggles. Would prefer a button fastening rather than a popper - which has a tendency to pop open! Previous pants purchased from Kathmandu many years ago had ankle zips that made it easy to remove pants without having to take off shoes/boots.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Gobluecanuck from Good but could be impoved I purchased these pants a month ago as I was looking for something that would allow for quick transitioning between shorts and pants if the bugs were getting bad or temperature dropping. The legs do zip and unzip easily. The colour coding of the zipper is a particularly good feature when reattaching the pant legs. The one problem is that you have to remove your boots to get the leg on/off. It would be great if there was a vertical zipper at the cuffs to widen the bottom to allow it to fit over the boot. Beyond that, three zippered pockets and two velcro closure pockets provide ample carrying space.

Hi Are these Pants Waterproof / Resistant? Will it be suitable for an Alpine Hike?
No these pants are not water proof or water resistant, they do dry very quickly though! For an Alpine Hike I would suggest something more technical like the Aysen pant, but then if you are looking for waterproof pants, then you will need to look at our various rain pants.
