Rated 5 out of 5 by from Back pain begone!! I am just shy of 40 and returning to the great outdoors after 20ish years, due to my children's enthusiasm. Various forays into tramping since my teens have been overshadowed by terrible lower back pain when carrying a pack. I borrowed one of these for a recent overnight trek with my kids- which meant I was carrying all we needed for an overnight stay for myself and 2 children (they carried 2kgs each). It is an absolutely amazing pack- incredibly comfortable to wear (INCREDIBLY! Lower back gave not so much as a twinge). I am only 5"3, and the adjustable straps made such a difference. Plenty of room for what we needed to take, withstood Fiordland's rain beautifully. I am off to buy one of my own!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I just did the Heaphy Track with this pack on my back. I am in my 50's and female who has had back surgery. It was full to the brim (first time tramper) with a lot of stuff l didn't really need as l was sleeping in huts. I had absolutely no back pain during or after the tramp but found it hard on my shoulders for the first 2 days. This could be because l am a newbie. Great back pack with plenty of room. I might need to downsize lol.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well-designed pack I bought this pack six months ago and have only just used it for the first time on a tramp into the mountains. When packing, I found the design excellent. There is no sleeping bag compartment (good! as they waste space and can leak through the zip) but there is a generous top compartment with a hidden zip pocket for keys etc. There are also two very generous open side pockets for a water bottle etc.that have a pleat in them so they can still open out when the pack is full - I found them very useful for my camera and to stuff my hat into while I was still moving. But also I found the harness and shoulder padding really comfortable, the best I have ever had in a pack. I really recommend this product, which made for a great four-day trip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for hiking! I recently used this pack in Patagonia to transport my camera equipment and camping gear around, as my camera bag isn't large enough to fit tent, cooker and all the rest. I was super happy with my choice as the pack is super comfortable and large enough to fit everything, including food and water for an overnight or even two night hike. I'm keen to get more into hiking and overnight trips so this pack is about to get a massive workout.
